"Thus says the Lord: Do justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong or violence to the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place."    Jeremiah 22:3

What: Conference focused on providing actionable steps individuals, churches, and other groups can take to provide effective compassion and mercy to all in Charlotte.

When: October 5, 2019 from 9:00 AM - 4:30 pm. Lunch will be provided

Where: Project 658 / Christ Central Church (3646 Central Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205).

Who: CJC is open to all interested persons. This is not just for Charlotte residents, nor is it only open to Christians. All are welcome here.

Why: Because we need to do better. Because fear, hatred, and all the evil "-isms" (sexism, ageism, racism, elitism, etc) should have no quarter in our hearts. Because white supremacy and historical blindness is pervasive not only in our community but also in our churches. Because we need to see that as a community we can work on issues that often seem too big and too intractable for one person to fix. The old way of outreach, missions, and justice has often caused damage on marginalized groups. Time to do better.
